How much does a head spa cost?
Updated 10 October 2026
The tables below are not estimates. They are built from the prices that the studios in this directory publish on their own websites, and they update with every new listing.
What drives the price
Four things explain most of the difference between a 60 euro and a 300 euro session.
- Length. Most menus are tiered: a 45 to 60 minute session with analysis, cleanse and massage; a 90 minute version with mask, steam or a facial; and rituals of two hours or more.
- Products. Japanese and Korean scalp lines, organic brands or treatments from a luxury skincare house raise the price, sometimes considerably.
- City and rent. A studio on a shopping street in London, Zurich or Manhattan charges more than one in a residential district or a smaller town, for the same hour of work.
- What is bundled. Blow-dry, styling, a short facial, a neck and shoulder massage or a drink before and after are included in some studios and extras in others.
How to pay less without a worse treatment
Book the shortest tier for a first visit; it contains the parts that matter. Ask about introductory prices, weekday rates and packages of three to five sessions, which many studios offer but do not always show prominently. Gift vouchers for a fixed amount let you choose the treatment later. And if a studio only lists prices on request, write or call; the answer is usually quick.
About these numbers
Each price in this directory comes from the studio's own website, with the source and the date of our last check shown on the studio page. Prices change; the studio's website always wins. The typical price is the median of all listed head spa treatments, so a few very long rituals do not distort it.
Questions
How much is a 60-minute head spa?
In Germany most studios in this directory charge between 70 and 120 euros for 60 minutes. London, Zurich and large US cities are higher, smaller cities lower. The tables above show the current range per country and city.
Why are some head spas so expensive?
Long rituals of two hours or more, premium products and central locations. A 250 euro session is usually a two-hour ritual with mask, steam, facial and massage, not a longer version of the basic wash.
Do I have to tip?
Depends on the country. In the United States and Canada 15 to 20 percent is customary, in the United Kingdom around 10 percent is common but optional, in Germany, Austria and Switzerland rounding up is appreciated but not expected.
